Analyze current credit information to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit before entering any commercial transactions; perform credit risk assessment, including financial statement analysis and analysis of credit reports and data obtained from bank and trade references on current and potential customers; establish and update credit limits for new and existing accounts based on credit risk assessment; generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers’ financial status; prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit; compare profitability, customer credit history, and cash flow; analyze potential risk; describe credit risk and amount of profit; make suggestions to management; research and resolve complex credit and collection issues for key accounts and make recommendations to the Manager for course of action; manage existing accounts to ensure adherence to company’s credit standards and policies; review individual or commercial customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection; and confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance is a must.
